Nitin Lall, Atlas Copco India

Mr. Nitin Lall, G.M. - Atlas Copco India
Mr. Nitin Lall, G.M.
Our Chakan plant has the capacity to produce one portable compressor every 15 minutes. The plant will be utilized in the future for our indigenization projects for compressors and light towers with new and advanced technology.

Sustainable productivity and safety are guaranteed features in all Atlas Copco machines, and are non-negotiable

Atlas Copco products are designed to meet the tough requirements/conditions of the Indian job sites. These products are developed using innovations through re-engineering process. We believe in consistently upgrading our product portfolio, keeping in mind the product gaps and future challenges. The element, which is the heart of the compressor, is engineered to the highest standards in the industry. To prove this, the change of element in our XRH1100 resulted in a new capacity of 1200 cfm and higher pressure to increase penetration without any additional load.

Similarly, the XRHS650/ 250-300 dual pressure compressor has the most advanced technology with maximum pressure in this range, by reducing the load with a 2-stage screw element design. This enhances its productivity and fuel efficiency. Atlas Copco machines are designed to provide sustainable productivity and maximum safety.

Our light towers ensure uninterrupted work with use of LEDs that can illuminate an area of 5,000 sqm

XA187 - Atlas Copco India
Atlas Copco’s light towers are designed to ensure that work on site, including road construction, continues uninterrupted. The newly launched HiLight V5+ light tower is equipped with advanced LED technology that can illuminate an area of approximately 5,000 sqm with an average brightness of 20 lux while consuming less than 0.7 litres of fuel per hour.

Further, our 160 - 412 cfm, portable air compressor range is ideal for delivering compressed air at the optimal flow and pressure required for road construction. Atlas Copco’s portable air compressors designed for aggregate quarrying applications also contribute significantly to the road construction segment.

Atlas Copco is one of the biggest investors in R&D

We cannot ignore that customers are also scaling up in terms of quality and service expectations, and we will continue to provide them with the time-tested Atlas Copco technology.

As leaders in innovation, we will also focus on localization and developing new technology, and promoting our existing high-quality products from our global portfolio, to enable us to offer world-class products at all times.

In 2013, Atlas Copco invested in a greenfield state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune. This investment was with an eye to our future growth in the country. The plant is three times the size of our old facility at Dapodi, Pune, and therefore, will be quite sufficient to meet our immediate as well as future demands, both locally and for some overseas markets as well.

The Chakan Plant has a capacity to produce one portable compressor in every 15 minutes. In the near future, this plant will be utilized for product indigenization. The lean manufacturing technique used here ensures priority to simple, small, and continuous improvement, which leads to a higher level of efficiency.

Our services include reconditioning of element for complete overhauling of compressor

XRHS 650 - Atlas Copco India
Our aftermarket support is a key differentiator which offers us a competitive advantage. High quality parts & spares, extended warranty programs, toll-free number to register customer queries/complaints, regular equipment health check-up and service camps, as well as a highly skilled service team, enable Atlas Copco to enhance its offering to the end-customer.

We increase the life of the equipment where the compressor is overhauled to bring it back in working condition. Also, reconditioning of element ensures a complete overhauling of the compressor. Additionally, we come up with special offers, depending on the machine model and condition.

Live product demos at site prove the equipment’s performance

Live product demonstration on sites under actual and tough conditions is a continuous process. This also helps us to gain customer’s confidence in our product range. We are constantly upgrading the product knowledge and hands-on experience of our sales and service team. Mandatory internal training of Atlas Copco’s team along with our sales and service team is conducted to build their confidence and trust in our capability and delivery.

New at Excon 2017

We are participating as a Sponsor for the second year at Excon 2017. We will be showcasing key products from our Power Technique Business Area in the Compressors and Light Tower segments, and products for light compaction & concrete, besides some new products. Our focus will be to heighten customer experience in a unique and impactful manner. The live demos will result in meaningful customer interactions, which will contribute towards increasing the flow of prospective customers.
