INTERMAT ASEAN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
Building Tomorrow, Today

Keeping Abreast With The Latest Developments In
This New Era Of Digital & Technological Disruption

The future of the construction industry looks to be characterized by technologies, full digitalization processes, intelligent machinery and equipment, software applications, automatic sensors, wireless technologies and etc. With suchtechnologies rapidly changing the outlook of the infrastructure and construction market, the industry is required to adapt rapidly. At the same time, focusing on industry trends, progressing in technical and non-technical aspects of the industry and formulating growth strategies are required for the industry to advance and stay relevant.

INTERMAT ASEAN International Conference 2017 is a two-day conferenceby renowned speakers from specific fields in Thailand, Southeast Asia and beyond, providing essential knowledgeina wide array of industry topics covering the entire supply chain of the industry from technical to non-technical aspects, trends, technology and digitalisation, best practices, risk management and cost control, strategic thinking/approach and many more other key topics crucial to the future success of the industry.

With increasingly complex building and infrastructure projects demands, the conference topics are designed to facilitate improvements in industry efficiency and growth, processes of mitigating risk and costs and more importantly, for the entire industry value chain to be ahead of this new era of technology, digitalisation, disruption and change. INTERMAT ASEAN International Conference 2017 will explore and bring the future of construction to our conference delegates through insightful, practical and relevant topics that will build the construction businesses to a more successful tomorrow.

13.25-14.15 Building a Sustainable Future for the Construction Industry throughGreen & Low-cost Construction Materials

The session introduces several green construction materials for the construction industry with an objective of creating a more sustainable built environment and yet bringing the benefits of lower costs to construction companies. One of the green construction materials introduced that is gaining popularity in usage will be Mincrete which islight weight of 1.6 density, Mincrete. Mincrete is a structural, Fire proof, floor, wall and roof construction material. This is manufactured from materials bound for landfill. The wastes include waste glass, fly ash and bottom ash, milk/food/drink cartons, a super plasticizer, very little cement, and two chemicals. This new material demonstrates the ease and speed of construction at very low cost. The new material also reduce the wastes going into landfill and provides a win, win-win situation for communities requiring affordable housing, for a very quick return of capital, and the devlopment of outstanding sustainable development.
Speaker: Mr. John Shelton, Technical Director,Ecopanels International LLC

14.15-14.55 Value of BIM (Building Information Modelling) for Pre-Construction and Construction

Phase

When the project comes to Pre-construction and construction phase, as the General Contractor who Is responsible for day to day management of the entire construction process or the Project Manager (BIM Manager) on the design side, responsible for the whole design team, the BIM model is used to minimize mistakes that can happen out in the field, oversee all trade contractors and is responsible for a clear line of communication between all parties involved. This Session will cover recommended practices, using BIM in the Construction industry and associated workflows including Constructability Modelling, Multidiscipline Coordination, Quantification, Planning & Logistics and Field Management.
Speaker: Mr. Seri Sirisayan, Autodesk Asia Pte. Ltd.

14.55-15.30 Coffee Break

15.30-16.20 The Future is Now: innovation and customer added value for construction equipment incl. road equipment (milling machines, pavers, rollers), portable compressors, generators, pumps and light towers.

This session focuses on innovations in a range of construction equipment that create real customer value. As the technology gap closes, digital technologies are expected to become particularly important. Construction equipment often sits idle on a site for a considerable amount of time as other steps in the construction process are being completed. Digital devices that enhance the integration of machines across the site offer significant potential for reducing working capital and costs by allowing for better work-site coordination and improved safety. Other digital technologies within construction equipment that enable owners to track emissions and peak performance, identify maintenance needs, and better manage their fleets will further increase productivity and reduce the total cost of ownership of an individual machine
Speaker: Mr.IhabEldessouky, Regional General Manager, Atlas Copco

16.20-17.10 Equipment for Accelerated Bridge Construction Technology

Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) technologies are changing the ways of bridge construction. Most notably, bridges can be replaced within 48 to 72 hours and reduce planning and bridge construction efforts by years. The accelerated project times significantly reduce traffic delays and road closures and could potentially reduce project costs. The innovative ABC planning and construction methods, designs and materials produce safer, more durable bridges with longer service lives than conventional bridges. The timely innovation comes when many aging bridges in developing countries need repair or replacement and highways are already congested without the added strain of road closures.
