Hyundai Construction Equipment India Launches New Excavator Fleet

Hyundai Construction Equipment has launched an upgraded series of excavators under the name SMART PLUS, with the company’s global colour, to strengthen the brand’s positioning in India and export markets. A total of 11 excavator models were launched, ranging from 8-ton to 50-ton class, designed to cater to Construction, Mining, Irrigation and Infrastructure sectors. Special attachments like rock breaker, clamshell bucket, and quick coupler were displayed during the event, which was attended by dealers, customers, and key financing partners at the factory premises of the company.

Jin Seog Park, Managing Director, Hyundai CE India, who unveiled the SMART PLUS series and the new colour scheme, commented, “Hyundai Smart Plus series demonstrates Hyundai India’s commitment to serve the Indian market with innovative solutions. The products are developed to maximize fuel efficiency, bring higher productivity, structural durability and operator convenience. The new colour scheme gives a more robust look to the excavators and is aligned with the company’s global colour scheme.”

Event highlights included a spectacular display of the Global Colour Smart series excavators’ machine walk-around to explain the latest features and benefits by expert teams manning each machine; and a key hand-over ceremony to the company’s key customers, followed by the machine’s flag off with a great deal of pomp!


Machines launched in upgraded series and global colour scheme include the SMART PLUS Series: R210, R215, R215L, R230LM, and R245LR. Machines launched in the global colour scheme were R85A SMART, R130 SMART, R140LC-9, R340L, HX360, and R480LC-9S.
