SANY India showcases new technological capabilities

Mr. Deepak Garg, CEO, SANY South Asia
SANY Heavy Industry India Pvt. Ltd was present in EXCON 2017 with a slew of new offerings across its product portfolio, that showcased the company’s advanced technological capabilities in excavation, hoisting, and concrete. Said Mr. Deepak Garg, CEO, SANY South Asia, “These are exciting times, as the Construction Equipment sector is seeing increased buoyancy, due to higher demand and increasing competition.”

Sharing details of the new range of concrete products, he said, “With demand of higher volumes from the Concrete industry, there is a need for more efficient transportation systems. Our new 7-8 cum transit mixers are being offered to customers with an option of Eicher or Bharat Benz chassis. Catering to the higher demand of concrete, we are offering new 90 and 120 cum/hr stationary concrete batching plant with Sany’s own twin shaft mixers. These modular and compact plants can be easily transported, assembled and disassembled. I’m sure, the new concrete batching plants will find acceptance in the Indian market based on the brand recall of our sizeable number of 30 and 60 cum/hr batching plants, which we have supplied to customers during the past 1-2 years.”

He informed that the company will begin the process of localization of the 90 and 120 cum batching plants within three months to make them cost efficient.

Also, on display were Sany’s 40-120 concrete stationary pumps, boom placers and boom pumps. Mr. Garg said, “We discontinued sales of pumps and placers during 2012. However, seeing the growing demand of concrete equipment, we have decided to re-introduce them with higher levels of reliability and rated levels of pumping, and an extended life.”

SANY India showcases new technological capabilities
As a packaged offering in concrete segment, Sany showcased its new 5-ton tower crane, which is assembled at the Pune facility. Launched in March 2017, the SYT 63(T 5013-5), a 5-ton tower crane is the best-in-class in its category. Suited for lifting steel and other sections, the crane is highly suitable for speedy construction. Its highly rugged structure is made of Q 345 grade of steel, and made highly durable through appropriate levels of shot blasting on the surface.

Additional features include limit switches for all three mechanisms, anti-collision device, an anemometer for gauging wind pressure, seamless tubular masts and resting platform in every section of the masts. It comes with a jib length of 50 meters at which it can lift 1.30 tons, and a maximum rated load of 5 tons at 2.5 meters working radius, with a free-standing height of 40.5 meters. Sany will be marketing and supporting the concreting solutions exclusively through its own channel.

Sany also displayed its 25, 40, and 60-ton truck cranes, 600 ton all-terrain, and 80 ton rough terrain crane. Said Mr. Garg, “Seeing the resounding success of the SPC 250, 25 tons truck crane, we have carried out value engineering on the product by improving its load chart along with increased boom length of 31.5 meters.”

Sany India plans to localize its 80 ton rough terrain crane for the Indian market. The company also launched SY 120, its 12 ton excavator and SY 500, 50 ton excavators at Excon.
