CDE Can Help in Highway Construction Business

CDE Asia Combo X Series Mobile Wash Plant
India is witnessing a change in the way national and state highways will be developed in future. Construction industry is bracing for the transformation from bitumen to cement for building roads. The spotlight remains on cost and durability. As cement is more expensive than bitumen, the overall cost of construction of concrete roads is higher than the bitumen ones. As a ministry of road transport and highways official observes – 'The difference between cost of construction between concrete and bitumen based roads is approximately 10%, even after offsetting the import cost of bitumen. However, the maintenance cost of concrete roads is relatively less due to higher durability.'

The Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Mr. Nitin Gadkari, has stated that all the new roads to be built in India will be of concrete. This major transformation has provided a major impetus to the cement and sand industry. But the prime question remains unanswered– can we reduce the cost of concrete in India? The answer is 'Yes,' we can! CDE works closely with major global construction companies to help them reduce the cost of concrete by providing sand washing solutions that deliver higher performance, durability, and quality of concrete, while using less cement, power, and water. In India, Ultratech, AFCONS, Dilip Buildcon, BSCPL, and other construction industry giants have partnered with CDE to find geography specific solutions to reduce their cost of concrete.

CDE offers a sand washing system, a cutting edge technology, that cleans, grades and recycles water in a single mobile chassis unit. It uses its unique hydrocyclone technology to effectively remove only the excess ultrafines, i.e., minus 75 microns fraction particles, from the feed material. The material is washed, dewatered, and well-graded to provide the highest quality sand product - 'concrete sand'. This is an RMC-ready impurity-free vastu-friendly sand that is being readily used for manufacturing low cost higher durability concrete. CDE offers the most eco-friendly sand washing system in the world and a formidable answer to water scarcity on most project sites in the country. 90% of the water required to run the washing operations is automatically treated and recycled back to the system.

The real saving on the cost of concrete comes from saving the consumption of its most expensive input material – Cement. It has been proven by various tests and practical applications that a sand product free from -75 micron particles allows for better and quicker bonding of cement, thereby forming stronger concrete with lesser cement and time.

CDE partners with you to find suitable customized sand washing solutions from its wide array of featured products based on the geography, feed material, and many other important parameters. By doing so, CDE helps your business to bring the cost of building a concrete road or structure down and provides you with a substantial competitive advantage to do more with less.
