ZOOMLION Delivers TCT7527-20 Flat top Tower Cranes to one of India's Largest Cooling Towers

Chinese crane manufacturing giant ZOOMLION's joint venture with India's largest industrial crane specialist Electromech has achieved a spectacular success on the Indian shores. The company has so far delivered more than 550 units tower cranes in India, which are currently working on numerous Indian construction sites. That apart, its first unit of 20 ton flat top tower crane TCT7527-20 was recently delivered at one of India's largest cooling tower projects being executed by NCC Ltd (Formerly Nagarjuna Construction Company Limited ).

Being an important player in the field of power plant engineering and construction, the company has a portfolio of many BoT power projects. Currently, it is in-charge of constructing two Natural Draught Cooling Towers (NDCT) for development of 2 x 660 MW coal based thermal power project for M/S NCC Power Project Limited at Muthukur Mandal, Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

The project is slated to be completed in 2015.The construction of towers comprises heights of 170mtrs, base diameter of 145 mtrs, and top diameter of 78 mtrs and to carry out the execution of this challenging project, NCC has chosen ZOOMLION Flat top tower cranes which is the biggest topless model of its brands in the tower crane segment.

This innovative TCT7527-20 Flat top tower cranes are specially developed for cooling tower application with its 20MT max. load and 2.7MT tipload at 75M jib end(or 3.2MT tipload at 70M jib end). Besides that, the cranes are supplied with 185.25M height under hook, featured with VFD in all drives, provision of soft anchoring (Sling Support), enhanced drum capacity, localised 415V 50Hz power connection, anemometer, jib & counter jib dismantling device, double trolley automatic reeving change system, most of all, the cranes were specially finished as per the unique “heavy anti-corrosion coating scheme" which was customized by ZOOMLION according to India's thermal power site conditions.

In after market support, Zoomlion-Electromech provides on site training by Chinese experts and 2 years warranty, plus AMC with site spare stock to guarantee crane performance and develop customer specialty. Powered by ZOOMLION's 60 years tower crane R&D accumulation, and the acquisition of German JOST flat top tower crane technology (year 2011), ZOOMLION Flat Top Tower Cranes offers a range of 4MT – 32MT, its German engineered, CE & TUV certified model T320-16 has been delivered in volumes to the developed countries and areas such as Germany, Singapore and Hongkong etc. Indian infrastructure construction market shows greater interest in heavy capacity tower cranes, ZOOMLION-Electromech has made it crystal clear that it offers an excellent solution to the emerging Indian infrastructure industry.
