KYB-Conmat's Construction Equipment: Raising the Benchmark

    Canal Paver

Water, one of the most precious resources, affects more than 60% of India’s population engaged in agriculture. Dams and canals that play a vital role in irrigation and drinking, serve as the water capillaries of the country. The modern infrastructure of India is reflected through such constructions and good water management.

KYB-Conmat, a subsidiary of multi-billion-dollar KYB Corporation of Japan, has raised the benchmark in the Construction Equipment industry with its numerous products for application in dams/spillways/barrage and canal construction projects in India. The company has consistently provided world-class Concrete Mixers, Pavers, Batching Plants and Side Discharge Conveyors to accomplish such major projects.

KYB-Conmat was the first to introduce the Twin Shaft Mixer technology in India. Dams normally use bigger size aggregates, hence, the TSM is the ultimate solution. The company’s proven performance in various projects has made it a trusted name, namely, for its Concrete Batching Plants used in the Gosikhurd Dam Project in Maharashtra, Dindi Dam Project by Raghava Construction in Telangana, and the Swami Samarth Bor River Project at Amravati in Maharashtra. 150mm/80mm size aggregates were used here and low slump concrete supply was done through Tippers and Bucket Systems and Telebelt. KYB-Conmat has unified 75/90 and 160 cubic meters capacity plants for various dams/barrage/spill ways till now.

KYB-Conmat is a major supplier of equipment for canal construction such as main canals, branch canals, and distributaries or minor canals. Since paving equipment is strongly recommended here, KYB–Conmat supplied its Concrete Paver Machines to many major projects across India, namely the Polavaram Indira Sagar Project in Telangana, Kaleshwaram Project in Andhra Pradesh, Narmada Project in Gujarat, Lower Ganga in Uttar Pradesh, Nagarjuna Sagar in Telangana, amongst others.

KCPL pavers are hydraulic-free, operation-friendly and give high output. The company’s Concrete Paver Machines have been used in many irrigation projects, and more than 800 pavers are working in various canal projects across the country. The pavers are equipped with vibratory attachments for independent vibrators, thus, achieving a high-quality finish. Construction joints are either by Groove Cutters or PVC water stop and Crack inducing strips, depending on the project’s requirement.

The Pavers are capable of a steep slope paving up to 1:1 (45) degree inclination. Support accession like side discharge conveyor for uniform concrete pouring, either flat or inclined in front of paver, walk way behind pavers for inspection purpose or minor hand finish. Paving capacity ranges from 200 to 380

KYB–Conmat Pavers are very versatile and can be adapted in various paving sequences like Single/Two/Three or for multipurpose paving, depending on canal cross sections. Secondly, Concrete Mixers are best suited for carrying and discharging low slump concrete with larger aggregates.

KYB-Conmat’s Mobile Concrete Batching Plant is especially used in Canal construction because of its notable fully mobile feature, compact size for maneuverability, accuracy and mix quality like stationary batching plant and tractor towing for easy transportation.

Over the years, KYB-Conmat has become a leader in multiple dams/barrage/Spill Ways and Canal construction projects, helping India develop a robust infrastructure.
