TC Industries' Stone Cutting Tool- Piranha Stone Biter
Piranha Stone Biter by TC Industries is an innovative and a professional way to cut stone
Mr. Chris Cross, President, TC Industries USAPiranha Stone Biter is a completely new way for professional Countertop Installers, Masons, and Stone Craftsmen to accomplish their work faster, accurately, and effortlessly.
For thousands of years, mankind has worked with stone to build and create. Throughout history, masons and stoneworkers around the world have relied on the old-fashioned hammer and chisel to cut and shape raw stones into the desired shapes and sizes. Although nowadays, pneumatic air hammers and chisels are available to make this work easier, they are nothing more than a machine-driven version of the tools we always use.
Professional stone craftsman and inventor Mr. Chris Cross thought for a portable and an efficient way to cut stone right at the job site and envisioned a tool with a set of "jaws" capable of biting through even the toughest architectural stone. Having worked as a stone craftsman for over 20 years, Chris knew that such a tool would save a huge amount of time for this industry.
Taking inspiration from the mechanics of the incredible biting power of the Piranha fish in the Amazon rainforest, Chris developed a machine which translates the expansion of a hydraulic cylinder into two opposing hardened-steel blades. After numerous design revisions, he settled on a design which successfully realized his vision and named it 'Piranha Stone Biter' in honor of his Amazonian inspiration.
Piranha Stone Biter is constructed using the highest quality materials and components. Its hardened steel jaws are engineered to last, but they are easily replaceable too incase of any problem. This Stone Biter can effortlessly snap stones ranging in size from 3/4-inch to 5-1/2-inch and can work from any angle on veneer stone, marble, granite, flagstone, brick, quartz, etc.
The ingeniously simple design of the Piranha Stone Biter allows the machine to deliver up to ten tons of biting power into any stone placed within its hardened-steel jaws. Powered by an air-activated hydraulic cylinder, the Piranha Stone Biter is fast, portable, accurate, and delivers consistently great results, easily achieving the highly sought-after natural "chiseled" edge.
