HEF Group in India
Hydromecanique Et Frottement (HEF) is a French Company started with Research Centre concentrating on Surface engineering, specializing in reducing the problems of friction and wear. The center has invented and patented many types of surface treatments capable of resolving such problems.
There are three distinct branches of the group at the disposition of customers,
- HEF: Centre for Research and Testing
- Techniques Surfaces (T.S): Ensuring the development of HEF process in industry
- EXPROHEF: The marketing wing and technical sales team of the group
HEF started their operations in India during 1983–84 with a techno commercial collaboration with one of the TVS group companies called M/S. Tribology India Ltd. Through this company, HEF has introduced in India many surface treatments and coatings like Sursulf, Arcor, Tribomol etc to name a few to improve the physical and metallurgical properties of ferrous and non–ferrous materials.
Taking advantage of globalization in India in 2000, HEF started their 100% owned company at Chennai called HEF India Pvt Ltd. Today, the Indian operations of HEF group have been managed by the following independent 100% French Owned companies, each specializing in some specific areas:
- HEF India Pvt Ltd: Controlling Corporate Administrative works & R&D.
- Durferrit Asea Pvt Ltd: Manufacturing Specialized Chemicals for Surface treatment & Surface Coating.
- Eastern Machine Elements Pvt Ltd Manufacturing and exporting surface engineered engineering components.
- Techniques Surfaces Chennai Pvt Ltd Jobbing shops for surface treatments & Surface coatings.
- Expro Tech Pondy Pvt Ltd Marketing company for Indian Market, marketing Specialty Chemicals, Surface Engineered Engineering Components like Bushes, Pins etc and Furnace equipment for its processes.
