Mr. K. Madhu Mohan, GM - Marketing, GS Caltex India says, "Our presence in the Indian lubricants market has been quite satisfactory considering we are relatively a young player in the market entering India in 2010. In these 6 years we have joined hands with some of the leading global construction OEMs. Our objective now is to leverage our brand presence in the growing off-highway construction equipment sector in India, led by growth in infrastructure. We would broaden our presence through offering wide range of Hydraulic oils, Engine oils, Synthetic oils, Transmission Oils,Greases etc. We have products which are designed exclusively for the Indian operating conditions and offer longer drain intervals. Apart from the lubricants, we also offer other services like oil condition monitoring and sample test services for the OEMs."
Mr. Mohan mentions, "We have our blending facility in Mumbai and we probably are the only company who use only Group II Plus base oils in the manufacturing of all the lubricants. We import the base oils from our world class refinery at Yeosu, South Korea which helps us in maintaining a consistent quality in all our products. Superior quality is also ensured as additives are sourced from major additives producers of global repute."
He informs, "GS Caltex has presence in India through tie-ups with construction OEMs like Volvo CE, Volvo Trucks and Buses, Hyundai Construction Equipment India, SDLG, Hyva, Ajax Fiori etc. to name a few. Based on our global credentials, we will look to enter into an alliance with the other Indian and foreign OEMs (present in India) for jointly working in promoting our products and services."
