Kubota's advanced engines ready for construction machines
Japanese off-highway engine manufacturer, Kubota Corporation is targeting mobile off-highway construction machinery, light towers, generators and the industrial vehicles market in India. It is especially eyeing the wheeled and backhoe loaders and excavators for its advanced engines.
Said Akihiko Adachi, Engine, Global Marketing Department-II, Market Development Group Manager, "We are completely prepared to offer our advanced compact engines that are lighter and have low vibration and noise levels. We are also prepared to cater to the upcoming BS-IV and BS-V emission norms as we have developed the multiple integrated emissions technology and systems such as common rail system, diesel particulate filter, diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalytic reduction. These provide superior performance and have minimum displacement that clears emission requirements."
"Since there are varied installation and performance requirements of OEMs, we undertake co-engineering with them prior to developing the engines. We jointly review the critical applications. To ensure optimum performance of the engines and their maintenance intervals, we perform several tests in different operating sites and geographical conditions. Only then do we start commercial production."
Kubota tier-4 diesel engines are between 9.9 kw to 86.4 kw and comprise Kubota Mini series, Kubota 05 series, Kubota 03 series, Kubota 07 series and Kubota V3 series. "Our engine line-up has a variety of fuel options such as diesel, gasoline, liquid propane and natural gas. With these options, customers are guaranteed installation compatibility and fuel flexibility, all within the same engine."
The company is promoting and supporting its diesel and industrial engines in India through its wholly owned subsidiary, Kubota Agricultural Machinery India.
