KSB Pumps Successfully Executes NLC Order
An order of 27 numbers of pumpsets, having mix flow type impellers was successfully executed by KSB’s Water Pumps Division located at Sinnar.
Submersible motor pumpsets having diameter of 350 mm (14") with pump model BIX 463/8 in Bronze material of construction and a VM 2503 motor having double wall stator & double sheathed winding wire are to be used in open cast mines of M/s Neyveli Lignite.
These giant pumps will be deployed at the mines for pumping @ 278 cubic mtr. of water per hour delivering a head of 152 mtrs. To support such a huge load, pumps are coupled with motors of 186 kW (250 hp). To ensure the smooth working and better cooling of the motor, an auxiliary impeller is independently mounted on the rotor.
KSB has manufacturing facilities at five locations in India. A wide sales and service network spread across India serves customers through its 4 zonal offices, 15 branch offices, 4 service stations, 101 Authorised service stations and over 600 authorized dealers.
