Doosan Bobcat India Pvt. Ltd. is a subsidiary of the Doosan Group, which took over the global business of Bobcat and Portable Power Business of Ingersoll Rand in 2007. Ingersoll Rand pioneered the introduction of portable power compressors and light towers in India.
Doosan Bobcat India’s Portable Power business has its manufacturing plant in Doddballapura, Bangalore, for making a full line of compressors for use in the construction, mining, and water-well drilling industries, while its Light Towers cater to the needs of the infrastructure and mining sectors.
Compressors
Doosan Portable Power’s range of portable air compressors are available from 260 to 1400 cfm, with pressures ranging from 100 to 365 psi. These durable, rugged and versatile compressors are rigorously tested to ensure their performance in the harshest of conditions and offers numerous options for customization. The company has a full-fledged R&D Center in India and the capability to design compressor and light tower packages.
The compressors can be classified under small, medium, and large. The small range compressors (260 to 415 cfm with 100 to 125 psi pressure range), are widely used in quarrying of blue metal and granite, and for abrasive blasting and in road construction.
The medium range [400 to 675 cfm with 100 to 210 psi (7 to 14.5 bar)] compressors are used in mining with crawler drills, cabin mounted drills for tunneling, mechanized mining in large quarries, Abrasive blasting & shotcreeting and are excavator mounted for removing coal overburden. The compressors are also used for water-well drilling by mounting them on trucks for water table depths of 200-700 feet (approx.) with 4½ and 6½ inch drills. These compressors are offered with Ashok Leyland and Cummins engines and come with pre-cleaners to work in high dust environment, maintenance-free batteries, etc.
The large compressors (1100 to 1350 cfm with 300 to 365 psi) are mounted on trucks and are used for drilling water-wells with drills ranging from 4½ to 10½ inches where water depths are from 100-2000 plus feet.
Portable Light Towers
The Doosan Portable Light Tower is a highly mobile and flexible lighting accessory, capable of delivering 1600 and 4000 watts of day light for lighting up locations where erection of permanent fixtures is not possible or is inconvenient. The Light Towers are perfectly suited for temporary lighting of irrigation and dam projects, airport work, road construction projects, wind & solar energy projects, metro rail work sites, mining areas, and for general construction.

Doosan designs and produces its own air ends, which are critical for the performance of a screw compressor. The hallmarks of Doosan compressors are their ruggedness, reliability to work under harsh conditions, quality build, and long life.
