Mother India Forming's components for operator cabins and formworks
Mother India offers components for use in Operator Cabins in Construction Equipment and for Agriculture Equipment that meet with ROPS and FOPS compliances, and components for Formworks and Elevators.
Mother India Forming demonstrated its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency in its operations and also by localizing components at Excon. The company actively engages in sustainable manufacturing practices and is focusing on a zero-carbon footprint by 2040.
“By localizing components, we are contributing considerably to a lesser carbon footprint. In addition to this, we generate power in-house with solar rooftop panels and are almost a paperless office. We have built houses for workers in the vicinity of the factory to reduce their commuting. The integration of energy-efficient processes in our manufacturing operations further underscores our aim to reduce our environmental impact,” said Santosh Venkatasubbaiah, Director Sales, Mother India Forming.

“OEMs are working hard to improve productivity, reliability, and safety; hence we are coming up with products to help them improve product performance, efficiency, and lower their products’ maintenance requirements. Hence, through precision roll forming, Mother India Forming delivers global standard locally made components that are at par with imported components. Local production results in lower inventory, and lower product pricing for OEMs. We believe that through successful localization with their local supplier partner, OEMs in India can become a global manufacturing hub.”
“Our state-of-the-art machinery and technology enable us to manufacture components with high efficiency. The durability of our components enhances the lifespan of the OEM products, reducing the frequency of their maintenance and replacements. Our in-house capability of making tools and machines ensures that the roll-formed parts align precisely with safety standards, contributing to reliability and safety.”
Santosh informed that Mother India’s in-house R&D capabilities is recognized by the Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Govt. of India. “Continuous investment in R&D and training workers since 2016 has made Mother India a leading Cold Roll Formed Component Manufacturer in India. Some of our initiatives have helped enhance product performance and extend the lifecycle of products. By utilizing Industry 4.0 technologies, including IoT sensors and data analytics, we help optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce energy consumption. By customizing our roll-forming machines to meet specific customer needs, we optimize their design for greater efficiency, and reduce material waste. By using simulation tools to optimize designs virtually before physical production, we reduce the need for prototyping and minimizing resource use.”
The company has a multi-pronged strategy to boost sales and expand market reach. It involves digital marketing, active participation in industry events, expanding the product portfolio, forging strategic partnerships, organizing customer education programs, and investing in sales training. The addition of a new 18,600 sqm facility will double the production capacity to meet the increasing local and global demand of OEMs. Further land is reserved to add another 50,000 sqm facility.
We are already catering up to 90% of the demand for Operator Cabin components. Mother India Forming is implementing several strategic expansions to garner a major market share. It is expanding its range of roll-formed components to cater to a broader spectrum of construction equipment. “We are aggressively reaching out to OEMs for global market penetration by opening local offices. We are investing in R&D to develop innovative solutions that align with the evolving needs of the construction equipment sector. We are partnering with leading OEMs and are implementing advanced processes, such as automation and digitalization.”
We foresee a 35% increase in sales for FY 2023-24. With such growth in the next three years, we could also look at an IPO.
