Linden Comansa unveils luffing jib cranes
Linden Comansa launched its LCL 190, the first of a new series of luffing jib cranes at bauma. This model comes in two versions, with 12 or 18 tonnes of maximum load, and a jib length from 30 to 60 meter long. The standard version has a freestanding height of 49.5 meters.
Among all advantages of the new design, stands out the simple and fast erection, with light components. Also the crane transport is possible in few standard containers and trucks. The LCL 190 crane is designed having the hoist mechanism situated at the front under the jib instead as before on the counter-jib. The luffing mechanism, with its emergency second brake, and the electric cupboard for the control of the crane are placed on the counterjib. This unique new design from Linden Comansa allows to, reduce the installation weights, lessen the slewing radius of the counter-jib, enhance free spaces for the service of the main mechanisms and improve the kinematics of the hoisting cable as the route is direct with less cable pulleys involved. Furthermore Hoisting and Luffing cables come preinstalled from the factory for faster installation of the crane.
Among all the innovations included in the LCL 190 crane, the most important are: the new hydraulic push and retention system, with a progressive force application on the jib in relation to the luffed-in radius, allowing a smooth movement without sudden steps; the hydraulic pressure control system for the safety of its function; the travel control of the luffing movement; and an anti loosening system for the luffing cable tension.
With the series of luffing jib cranes, the rest of the families from Linden Comansa have also been very well represented at the show. They include 21 LC 750 Flat-Top tower crane, from the LC2100 series, 11 LC 150 Flat-Top crane, from the LC1100 Series, 5 LC 5010 Flat-Top tower crane, from the LC500 Series etc.
