Enerpac has enhanced the ETR-Series Trolley System with higher capacity trolleys and swivel plates to accommodate header beams and other lifting systems. With a 50 metric ton (500kN) and now 100 metric ton (1000kN) capacity per trolley, the electrically driven trolleys can carry heavy loads up to 800 metric tons (8000kN) horizontally in a continuous smooth movement, including acceleration and deceleration.
The ETR-Series Trolley System uses a low-profile, 200mm wide steel plate track and can be configured for up to eight trolleys from a single powerpack. Traveling as fast as 50 m/hour (82 ft/hour) when loaded, the trolleys offer continuous forward/reserve movement via a self-contained electric drive. All the trolley movements are synchronised wirelessly with handheld controller.

Enerpac has recently completed overload testing of a four trolley 500kN ETR Trolley system to transport a 223te load (110%) of safe working load. “Compared with traditional methods of heavy lift transport, such as skidding systems, the Enerpac ETR trolley system has significant operational advantages,” says Pete Crisci, product line director, Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology. “Loads move smoothly in a continuous movement both forwards and backwards along the low-profile track, increasing the options for industrial movers and manufacturers building large complex structures.”
Additional features and benefits include high side load resistance, and high capacity per mechanically locked trolley point. The Enerpac ETR is readily expandable and easy to transport and set up.
