A Compact Way to Move Machinery and Equipment in Hard-to-Access Spaces
Enerpac has announced the new ML40 Mini Lift Gantry with 40-ton lifting capacity in all three lifting stages. Simple to set up, portable, and easy to use, it is the ideal solution for machinery movers, plant relocation services, and medical equipment installers, who need to move machines and equipment in compact spaces.

Machinery Relocation
Enerpac ML40 Mini Lift Gantry
With a collapsed height of 1.97m, the ML40 fits through a standard personnel doorway and can be easily manoeuvred into position manually. As well as saving time by avoiding the need to move auxiliary equipment out of the way to get machine moving equipment into place, the ML40 keeps operators safe by not having to work in tight spaces. The maximum lift height for the ML40 Mini-Lift Gantry is 5.5 meters.

Machinery Installation and Replacement
When performing a new equipment installation or the removal and installation of equipment for maintenance or repair, industrial movers are often faced with minimal headroom and many obstacles. The ML40 Mini Lift Gantry makes it easy to offload the equipment from the delivery vehicle and re-position it for use in the facility. Additionally, it makes it easy to assemble the equipment in sections and then move it as a complete unit into final position. When replacing old equipment, disassembly in sections may be the easiest method of removal. The small size of the ML40 Mini Lift Gantry makes it easier to mobilise and set up.

“With the introduction of the new Enerpac ML40 Mini-Lift Hydraulic Gantry and its built-in synchronization and safety features, all that an operator needs for (almost) any 40-ton lifting job is a standard power supply and basic training,” says Pete Crisci, Product Line Director at Enerpac Heavy Lifting Technology.

Medical Equipment Installation
Installing medical equipment typically involves difficult access within the hospital. Medical equipment is often delicate and needs smooth and even lifting. Standard synchronised lifting on the ML40 prevents damage to the equipment. The compact size of the ML40 Mini Lift Gantry is also a critical feature as it makes it easy to transport and fit into most freight elevators.

Easy set up and simple to operate
The ML40 Mini-Lift Gantry is a complete, self-contained system with everything on-board, including the pump, controls, and drive system. Additional components such as skid tracks, header beams, lifting anchors, and other accessories are available. For ease of deployment, the ML40 Mini Gantry features freewheel operation for transportation and set up, and a roll cage for overhead lifting and/or towing and pushing for installation. The ML40 is simple to set up with a single wireless pendant control and runs off standard single phase 115 or 230 VAC power.

The ML40’s high lifting capacity and simple set up mean that even jobs with challenging or uncertain information can be managed without a problem. Its simple set up enables even relatively new rigging operators to operate the equipment with ease.

ML40 Mini Lift Gantry – powerful lifting capability
As standard, the ML40 Mini-Lift Gantry includes stroke and travel synchronization with alarm functions to alert the operator in the event the lift becomes unsafe. The ML40 Mini-Lift Gantry also comes standard with a wireless pendant control which keeps the operator away from the load when lifted. The wireless pendant includes a display that provides information such as load, stroke, alarm details, and set-up screens. The ML40 uses an industry standard 610mm track gauge and can be operated without support track with considerations for load and ground conditions.

Pete Crisci adds. “The ML40 Mini Lift Hydraulic Gantry has been designed for machinery movers performing plant relocation services, heavy machinery installations, special transportation or machinery maintenance, millwrights, rigging services and medical equipment installers. It is sold as complete system with everything needed to perform the work. Simple to set up and use without external hoses to connect, and a single wireless pendant control. For some it will provide an entry point for expanding their industrial moves services, while for established heavy lift contractors it offers a flexible alternative option for smaller lifts in tight spaces.”
