Between Mobile and stationary crushers each has its own merit and in short-term to mid-term projects (less than 1-1½ years) most customers prefer to choose Wheel/Track mounted crushing plants. However, customers with commercial crushing plants and long-term projects (of more than 2 years), prefer to go in for skid/static plants. The advantages of static crushers are that they are rugged and stable in terms of quantity and quality of aggregates/ sand and can provide optimum utilization of the crushers. Tracked and mobile crushers provide for greater flexibility of movement and reduce largely on transport costs that accrue to the customer since they can be taken to specific sites of work.
