MB Crusher: Operating with Ease at Great Heights
How a road project implemented by Indian Border Road Organization at a height of 12,400 feet above sea level was completed in the northern mountainous region using MB Crusher units.
An A1 class road contractor was awarded a 12 km road construction project that intended to connect two urban locations. The approach road, once prepared, is expected to boost economic activities in the region. But since the area is a remote mountainous terrain, installing and running a static crusher was considered to be extremely difficult.
The contractor proceeded to obtain the necessary approval from the authority to use the hill rock for producing aggregates (of 65mm, 45mm, 20mm, 10mm, and dust material) from the boulder size of approximately 350mm. They had already deployed a JCB JS140 excavator with a rock breaker at their site.
To help them in meeting their aggregates requirements, they had also installed a crusher plant near the project site. But they had to deal with some problems due to the hilly terrain, inlcuing poor availability of electricity due to which they had to rely completely on a diesel generator (DG) to run the crusher plant. This was resulting in increased cost of production of aggregates for the project. Since the project location was at such a high altitude, the contractor was also facing difficulties in deploying other heavy equipment and machinery at the site to help accelerate the overall process.
MB Crusher bucket offers cost-effective solution
For the major part of the year, the project site is covered by snow, which means there are only 3 months or so in a year for undertaking full-fledged construction work. The contractor had also deployed manual workers at the site to help them complete the project, but fatigue became a factor due to the bad weather conditions. Owing to these reasons, they were behind the work schedule.
A client of the project visiting the site saw the performance of MB crusher buckets, the machine in action, and its ease of operation. It was taling only one operator, one excavator, and one MB Crusher Bucket to independently produce good quality GSB material in a consistent manner. The client immediately decided to formalize the order right then and there for a Crusher Bucket model BF60.1, which is suitable for excavators of 10 tons and more.
MB Crusher Buckets are suitable for all kinds of carriers and they can turn your HEX or BHL into a real portable crushing station, enabling you to produce your own aggregates directly at your jobsite - thereby saving time, money, including transportation costs, and use of minimum number of workers. MB Crusher is also easy to install and mobilize with lower operational and maintenance costs.
