Wacker Neuson's Heavy Duty Remote Control Reversible Plate Compactor
Reversible Vibratory Plate Compactors with Compatec
Wacker Neuson Equipment has successfully launched a range of larger Reversible Plate Compactors with Compatec technology in India. These plates are not only powerful to perform faster work but also are able to inform the operator when optimal compaction is achieved on a particular surface, leading to saved time, fuel and effort.
For heavy-duty applications, users can rely on the extremely high compaction performance of these medium to heavy reversible vibratory plates. Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV) values of these compactors are well within the European permissible limits, ensuring fatigue-free usage for operators, even during long spells of operation.
The soil compaction applications are unlimited. The plates can be used during road construction, path and parking lot construction, compaction of heavy interlocking paving stones, backfilling around buildings and factories, power plant foundations, and last, but not the least, for rail-bed compaction.
A First in India! Remote Controlled Reversible Vibratory Plate Compactor
Two models: the DPU6555 with a 6.5T compaction force and the DPU4545 with a 4.5T force have been launched. The premium German Hatz diesel engines with ample power reserves ensure long service life on both models. Intelligent functions such as a low oil shutdown, a self-adjusting V-belt, maintenance free alternator, electric start, and integrated jump start connectors are standard features on the larger plate.
Wacker Neuson is also launching their model DPU80r, Reversible Vibratory Plate Compactor which delivers a massive 80 kN (8T) of centrifugal force for applications which require extreme heavy-duty compaction. There is zero HAV due to the plate being operated remotely.
The innovative infrared remote control ensures high levels of safety for operators and the environment. The operator can stand safely outside a trench, or at a safe distance from the place of compaction, protected from vibration, exhaust emission and noise. The machine stops automatically if the minimum safety distance between the operator and the machine is less than 2 m.
The remote-controlled steering is supported by intelligent features: the vibratory plate can be steered continuously in curves with pin point accuracy and will remain stationary if clear line-of-sight is lost.
A water-cooled diesel engine with long running time and high maintenance intervals is a standard feature. Electronic displays provide information on overloads and errors. The plate is available with the compaction control “Compatec” as an accessory.
