Marini: High on Efficiency and Low on Energy
Krishna Mohan Constructions or KMC as popularly known, is one of the foremost and highly respectable names in road building industry in India. The company has inspired numerous entrepreneurs who lead the Indian road building industry today. From a humble beginning around four decades ago by its founder, today the company is led by its new generation management team. The emergence of the company inspite of the turbulent years of global crisis, is an indicator of its dynamism and strength. Through the change of baton in the management, one thing remains constant, their love and passion for Marini. When Mr. Raja Mohan Reddy, invested in a Marini asphalt plant over a decade back, it was the largest asphalt plant to be installed in India. It was not a single purchase but a repeat order placed immediately after the first one, indicating that the move was well thought. Industry pundits were dumbfounded some even mocked. Back then, everybody did not understand profitability from High Productivity, High Uptime and Low operating costs. But KMC's founder chairman definitely knew he was looking beyond the normal and was making the right investment, reflecting his unbeatable visionary perspective. Now, almost a million ton later on each of their Marini plants, Mr. Pruthvi Reddy – Director KMC, still vouches for the plants performance, high quality mix production and efficiency.
It is a superb product, there is absolutely no doubt about it, we simply love it, He admits smiling. These Marini plants have worked trans India, and have performed with great reliability and amazingly low operating costs, delivering consistently high mix quality and efficiency. For him to admit this, a million tons later on each of his plants is a fact that speaks volumes. Marini hasn't remained a favorite with the Visionary Raja Mohan Reddy, but when Pruthvi & Goutham Reddy, had to make a decision for a new asphalt plant, they thought nothing else but Marini.
There was a difference however this time, unlike the founder Mr Raj Mohan Reddy, Mr. Pruthvi Reddy did not choose just a standard top end product but a future ready product – the Marini MAC. It is certainly an indication of the company's focus and commitment to the sector getting deeper. We have been known for successfully completing several projects in India, including multiple projects in most environmentally sensitive area – Kerala, thanks to the Marini plants, adds Mr Pruthvi Redy. KMC's focus on sustainable development, deep concern for environment, insight in to carbon footprints, high content recycling and futuristic mix production was astounding. We knew we had the right product, the Marini MAC, which could easily satisfy KMC's new requirements, says Blesson Varghese Marini's National Director.

KMC's first Marini MAC was commissioned in a record number of hours at KMC's Kurnool Cudapah Project. A new project site is always quite challenging. We understand the demands and problems of a new project site and hence our team coordinates very closely with the client's project team to ensure a very smooth and quick installation, states Marini India's service manager Mr. Sathish Kumar. Specialized and trained manpower ensures, our products are not only erected in record number of hours but also are put in to operation in no time. We do not believe in just starting a plant leaving the clients at jobsite, but we stay with the client and assist them in mix design preparation, approval and the entire calibration process to ensure that the mix produced from the plant is top quality. KMC's MAC 200 plants, were installed in no time thanks to the zero foundation design of the MAC. The MAC plant has a container like design, however the best part is, its without all the constraints of a containerized plant. Large capacities, Extended Drying volume, Unconstrained access, Superb Ergonomics, Conformance to Health and Safety requirements are virtues found on the MAC that are never to be found in a standard containerized plant designs. Set up is absolutely fast, reducing crane hours and installation costs. Each MAC is pre-assembled at the factory to ensure that there are no bad surprises at the site. Major units are pre-wired and tested before leaving the factory, ensuring the plant is an easy plug-n-play when at site.
The sight of the newly installed MAC at KMC's Kurnool Cuddapah Project was so convincing and the execution so prompt that KMC ordered their second MAC 200 for the project. Recycling Ready
High content recycling is not a new thing on Marini plants. Marini has supplied hundreds of plants worldwide and had patents for some of the most remarkable developments in asphalt recycling technology. KMC can now confidently process asphalt mixes with up to 45% of Recycled Asphalt Products.Low Energy Ready
With the new Marini MAC, KMC will be able to produce low energy asphalts, produce modified non-conventional mixes, add liquid or solid asphalt mix enhancers and performance chemicals.High Efficiency
The new MAC series of plants will deliver KMC higher fuel efficiency compared to their older Marini MAP series of plants. The plant is configured for multi-fuel firing. KMC could even opt for Natural gas in future, if required. The Marini MAC delivers upto 20% lower fuel consumption compared to other brands in the market. Guaranteeing not just profitability but also lower carbon footprints an equally important issue in today's scenario.
