Arx Motor Graders for Roads, Mining & Heavy Construction Sites
The Arx motor graders are available in four models: G1000, G1500, G1800, and G3200. The G1000 is ideal for village roads, shoulder work on highways after paving, exit ramps, and short roads where turning radius is critical. The G1500 and G1800 Arx motor graders are suitable for road construction, while the G1800 and G3200 Arx motor graders are designed for mining applications (haul roads) and heavy construction sites.
All Arx motor graders have drivelines matched for 100 to 120% tractive effort and a top speed of around 40 kmph. The efficiency of the driveline depends on the engine delivering output as per the published torque/hp/SFC curves and the torque convertor efficiency. Arx has partnered with Cummins, ZF, and NAF for engines, transmissions, and axles.
The anti-skid performance of Arx motor graders can be achieved by having a good traction control system on the axle. Skilled operators prefer an electro-hydraulic actuated differentiated lock which is available on the large grader. For less experienced operators, the No-Spin system is recommended, which will constantly run in a diff-lock mode but disengage while turning or at speeds greater than 8-10 kmph.
Arx motor graders are equipped with axial piston hydraulics (except the G1000), and superior valve metering from Walvoil and Danfoss ensures that positioning of actuation is very precise. All ripper and scarifier linkages are robust, and the moldboard is cylinder actuated, enabling good positioning control. Arx offers a large variety of blades based on customer applications ranging from Boron steel to Tungsten Carbide.
The cabins of Arx motor graders are designed and built in Italy and will shortly be produced in India in a joint venture.
