SDLG launches new wheel loader and motor grader
SDLG to Focus on Brand Building
SDLG will emphasize towards enhanced brand building to increase its market presence in India. This was said by Mr. B. Sridhar, Head- SDLG Business India. SDLG launched its new wheel loaders and motor graders during Excon 2013.Mentioning about the business strategy of the company to increase its market share in India, Mr. Sridhar said, "Our foremost challenge in increasing our share in competitive market will be to stabilize and develop our brand. We will look to strengthen our after sales support, parts support and operators training both during warranty and post warranty period. The strategies are likely to increase the acceptance of our products."
He said, "The products are not intended for the premium but for the value segment, whose emphasis is towards getting a reliable product and providing higher uptime hence product support is quite vital for the company."
Mr. Sridhar said, "The reason for Volvo to acquire SDLG brand was to serve the growing mass market. To make the wheel loaders and motor graders well attuned to the Indian requirements, improvisation has been carried out in transmissions, axles to make the equipment deliver high on performance and for better operator's comfort."
The new LG979, 23.5 tons wheel loader which was launched during Excon 2013, is powered by SDLG, tier-3 electronic engines with rated power of 226kw. Bucket options for the wheel loader vary from 3.5 cum to 6 cum with other attachments involving wood grappler, side drum, and fork. The wheel loader can be used for applications like truck, wagon, hopper, wood and barge loading in various types of minerals. SDLG's wheel loaders are available from 7-25 tons.
G9190 motor grader is powered by Deutz tier-3 engines with 148 kw rated power. The motor grader is available with 13 ft (3,962mm) molboard as standard for wider blade coverage along with other optional attachments like ripper, scarifier and dozer blade. The blade of the motor grader is operated by moveable blade control system for better precision. It can rotate full 360 degrees with incline upto 90%. The motor grader has a down force of 8,386 kg.
