JCB India Excavator: Designed for Arduous & Tough Operating Conditions
With the launch of several new excavator models, JCB India is widening its market presence in the 21-ton and above class of excavators for use in infrastructure construction, mining, and quarrying, informs Deepak Shetty, CEO & MD, JCB India.
What new solutions has JCB India come up with in its excavator category of machines?
Our new Premium Line comprises JCBNXT 225LC M, JCB315LC HD, and the JCB385LC. These machines are designed for arduous and tough Indian operating conditions and can undertake the most demanding of applications such as large-scale earthwork, and work in quarries and mining jobs. The machines are being built at our factory in Pune and will be sold to customers in India and also marketed in our export markets.
Being in business in India for four decades, we continue to innovate for the benefit of our customers. The JCB NXT 225LC M, for instance, was developed based on the feedback we received from customers who wanted a more efficient fuel system. It has been designed to work in demanding site conditions and deliver higher productivity and uptime.
The 22.5-ton JCBNXT 225LC M has a heavy-duty dig-end for greater durability, higher uptime, and lower repair costs. The machine is powered by a Cummins 148hp, 626Nm torque engine with an inline fuel injection system, which significantly helps in ease of maintenance and repairs.
Please elaborate on the intelligent features of JCB NXT 225LC M.
JCB NXT 225LC M is low on maintenance as it has an extended service interval of 500 hours for engine oil and 5,000 hours for hydraulic oil. This next generation “Intelligent” machine has “Intelli Control & Advanced LiveLink 4” for ease of use, along with remote monitoring and safety. Intelli Control monitors the operations and maintenance parameters of the machine to ensure its high uptime. It gives feedback on the performance in real time and helps operators make decisions based on scientific data. It also has air-conditioning as standard for operator comfort.
The machine has 10 working modes that can be selected as per the application requirements. EcoHydraulics and Intellicontrol help improve fuel economy and give fuel savings of up to Rs. 1.7 lakhs per year. It comes with a Power Boost feature and a 1.05 cu.m heavy duty bucket with an increase of 5% in output and lift capacity – which help the machine perform better with faster completion of jobs at project sites.
How does JCB support its products?
Our new range of excavators will be supported by JCB’s Livelink – an advanced Telematics Technology that gives live updates on the service, operations and security of the machines. Over 210,000 JCB machines are monitored in real-time with live updates being sent to customers and dealers through this technology.
We also have over 60 dealers across India, with over 6500 service engineers employed at these dealerships for product support.
