Powermix Auto
State-of-the-art "Powermix" auto fill reverse discharge concrete mixers are being manufactured by innovative construction equipment. These mixers are catering to a niche market requirement in the construction industry and are far superior compared to the old conventional mixers of the series 7/5,10/7 14/10 in as much as these have built in weighing mechanism to weigh aggregates and feed in controlled quantity of water. Weighing is either through hydraulic pressure in the loading skip cylinder or for better accuracies utilize Electronic load cells and digitally read. Control of quantity of water is by controlling the running time of pump. For sophistication and better accuracies water can also be weighed on load cell and fed. These days chemicals are added for various purposes like to delay / quick setting etc of concrete and Powermix mixers support diluted admixture - dosing system.
Innovative Construction Equipment has launched three sizes 750/500, 450/300, 300/200 (dry feed volume in liters / wet mixed concrete in liters). For sake of uniformity, they are designed PM3, Pm2 and PM1 indicating conventionally 3,2,1 bags of cement, for commonly used M15 grade of concrete (1:2:4). For higher grade of concrete additional cement / flyash can be used.
These mixers are typically FREE FALL concrete mixer and hence need a good slump and for drier concrete field trails are recommended.
Recommended for use for medium jobs where employing an automatic batching plant is uneconomical and as stand by where batching plants are installed.
