Macons is known for regularly innovating and adding new products in its portfolio. In 2000, it indigenously designed, developed and introduced the Kerbing Machine (patented) for making kerbs and laying of road dividers, drain lines, etc. It was used successfully to various NHAI projects across the country. Features include front & rear hydraulic cylinder for adjusting kerb heights, rigid construction of main chassis, fabricated from rolled steel sections, fully imported needles vibrators to ensure compact & easy concrete flow, dust proof lockable operator console, mould boxes designed for quick change, ability to lay on reinforcement and gutter section. The Kerbing Machine enables reliable, low maintenance cost and fast laying of kerbs in road projects.
In 2001, Macons pioneered mobile technology in India by launching MOBILE, SEMI MOBILE & TRUCK MOUNTED CONCRETE BATCHING/MIXING PLANT of capacity from 12 m3 to 25 m3 per hour in technical collaboration with Danish company INTERCON. Mobile Concrete Batching Mixing Plant is easy to shift from one site to another due to wheel operated mobile plant. This is fully automatic plant with electronic load cell type, weighs batching system for Aggregates, Cement, Water and Additives. The Pan Mixer suspended with 3 Load cells for weighing of Aggregate, Cement, Water and additive. The recipes selection is to be entered and based on the production quantity and batch size selected, all operations are carried out fully automatically i.e. if the plant is set on 'AUTO' mode then weighing of Aggregate, Cement, Water and Additive and discharge from mixer are all carried out according to the sequence, for the production quantity selected as well as plant is operated by single remote. Plant can be erected and commissioned within two days. Entire plant can be transported in single 40 feet trailer. Completely close conveying system for input ingredients to ensure absolutely no wastage.
Macons also introduced a series of Compact Concrete Batching Plant (MAC) ranging from 25 m3 to 135 m3 per hour with weighing conveyor in India for the first time. It is a very compact Plant with the entire structure requiring very minimum civil foundations (only four footprints) in comparison to any of the conventional plants. The plant is supplied in a ready-to use condition in completely pre-wired and pre-piped condition and hence, no erection time is lost. It also allows the clients to save time and money through easy transportation and lighter assembling works it entails while shifting plant from one site to another. This series of plants provided with the latest Batching software. The MAC model especially designed for the production of concrete at sites where the quality, flexibility, and performance are the key features. The plant is made up in welded construction of steel profiles. The complete structure is shot blasted before the primary coat of paint being implemented. Two coats of paint are applied on elements such as stairs, balconies, pavements, discharge mouths of the aggregates bins to resist corrosion. The plant can be used for many applications including Ready-Mix Concrete production, Bridge, Jetty, Road, Canal, Building, Industrial park, Airport runway and many more. The most important advantage of MAC is that it requires less maintenance and it provides more than 100% production which in turn leads to decrease in cost of production.
That apart, Macons has also started manufacturing of wet-mix plant innovative continuous mixer (pug-mill) with best of the components and accessories. The unique design features make it most efficient in terms of operational costs, and ensures close control of the quality of output. Available in fixed or variable speed drives, the plant is well equipped with adjustable gates at its bins. The design of twin shaft pug mill ensures fast, continuous & Homogenous mixing of aggregates & additives. Besides, the surge hopper arrangement allows discharge into trucks without shutdown & spillage. Wet Mix Macadam Plant is an application designed product built as per M.O.S.T Specification for achieving homogeneous mix material of WMM / C.T.A.B / G.S.B layer to prepare sub base / base in road projects.
In 2009, Self-loading Transit Mixers ranging from 1m3 to 4m3 capacity and "Dumpers ranging from 2 to 16 Ton capacity" are well indigenized by MACONS, after Joint venture with Italian company – Dumec SRL." In self-loading transit mixer, looking at the wastage of cement /sand/aggregate, it introduced loader bucket gate with hydraulically operated actuators. This helped customers to own more machines, which proved to be economically feasible and in turn boosted customer confidence in the products, and the company was able to complete the project in time and in line with the economic viability of the project.
Positive impact on the construction domain/implication to society
Macons also launched MAC Series in order to ease transportation. Now complete machine can be transported in one trailer. This increases efficiency at site as it takes only one operator to run the plant. Besides these, the company also introduced Mobile Plant for small projects.
