BHAI Pumpcrete's Compact concrete batching plant for high strength concrete

Delhi NCR has an area of 46,208 sq.km., of which Delhi has an area of around 1483 sq.km. and Central NCR (CNCR) has about 2000 sq.km. Eight national highways cross through Delhi NCR with more than 6.5 lakh vehicles entering Delhi from neighbouring Haryana, UP and Rajasthan.

Due to the enormous vehicular movement, NHAI proposed the Delhi master plan 2021 with 3 urban extension road totaling 167.16 km, 8 radial roads totaling 301 km and 3 new links. It also proposed major improvements for three roads. NHAI selected Ram Kumar Contractor for making improvements in the Dhaula Kuan Airport Corridor.

The civil work by Ram Kumar Contractor involves construction of overpass, underpass, defense area boundary walls, concrete trenches, roads close to T–junction, near Dhaula Kuan metro station and around Dhaula Kuan Cantonment. This is a ₹150 crore project and the contractor plans to deliver it in time by March 2019.


Since the project requires around 85,000 cum of concrete work, Ram Kumar Contractor has set up a concreting station inside the Cantonment area. It is using BHAI Pumpcrete's Compact 30 cum/hr concrete batching plant with Japanese technology twin shaft mixer, which gives high strength concrete.

Ram Kumar Contractor has a long association with NHAI, having done some major work in the past. In 2014, NHAI entrusted the contractor a flyover project in Bhatinda valued at ₹50 crore. The total concreting was around 30,000 cum. The contractor used BHAI Pumpcrete's 35 cum/hr reversible drum boom scrapper model for this project. Under the leadership of Krishan Goyal, Partner at Ram Kumar Contractor, the project was completed on time.


In 2015, Ram Kumar Contractor completed construction of a flyover at Jind. The project cost was ₹50 crore, and the total concreting was around 30,000 cum; it was also completed within the specified time.

In the current project, the concrete batching plant of BHAI Pumpcrete has been the backbone of the project, and is running effortlessly and efficiently. "We have been associated with BHAI Pumpcrete since 2014 and are thoroughly satisfied with their batching plants. The Compact 30 being used in this project gives high strength concrete and is better than most because of its Japanese quality twin shaft mixer. At present, the plant is giving an output of 26 cum/hr," says Krishan Goyal, who is confident that the plant can be pushed to give an output of 32-35 cum/hr.

Features of BHAI Pumpcrete's concrete batching plant

Compact 30 has a 0.5 cum mixer with 750/ 500 cum input and output capacity. It has four compartments for aggregate/sand and the twin shaft mixer can handle maximum 63 mm size of aggregates. It has an electronic weighing system and comes with pre-installed SCADA in a laptop along with printer.
