As per a study by Gartner, women comprise 41% of the supply chain workforce, indicating a growing recognition of their contribution. Moreover, the fact that 73% of supply chain organizations have established goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, underscores the industry's commitment to fostering an environment where women can thrive alongside their male counterparts.
The logistics industry's advancement in India, evidenced by its ascent in the World Bank’s Logistics Performance Index, aligns with the nation's ambition to reach a US$26 trillion economy. As India's logistics industry gains prominence, driven by technological advancements and government initiatives, the role of women in this sector becomes increasingly crucial.
