Sandvik displays tunnelling jumbos, and surface drill rigs

Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology India, known for its high-tech products for mining, construction, and infrastructure industries, showcased its comprehensive solutions. Noteworthy among them were the locally manufactured tunnelling jumbos, surface drill rigs, and rock tools. Excon also served as a significant platform for the unveiling of Sandvik's new global visual brand identity, symbolising the company's continuous technological evolution and growth.

Among the spotlighted products was the DT820 twin boom hydraulic tunnelling jumbo, designed for road, rail, and hydro tunnels (now proudly produced at Sandvik's newly established plant in Hinjewadi, Pune). It is India's first Made in India jumbo. It lends efficiency and accuracy during excavation, is fast, user-friendly, and produce results with the lowest operational costs.

The DC122R Commando drill rig, a popular choice for surface drilling in road construction, dimensional stone quarries, and the cement industry, was also showcased as part of Sandvik's ‘Make in India’ initiative. Another highlight was the CH660 cone crusher, offering cutting-edge technology.

Sandvik also presented its technologically advanced, locally manufactured rock tools, genuine parts and fluids, a complete range of DSI ground support solutions, digitalisation, and automation tools for the construction, infrastructure, and mining sectors.
