The machine is Engineered to Enhance Your Earnings with built in features like higher productivity and low fuel economy. With two Backhoe Loader variants, duly supported by an extensive network of product support, Telcon is all set to make deeper inroads into the market.

Telcon has the unique distinction of pioneering the mini excavator market in India with the introduction of the EX60 in 1996-97. The smallest excavator prior to this in the Indian market was in the 10 T class and for smaller jobs typically the backhoe end of the Backhoe Loader was deployed. The EX60 was ideally designed to fill this gap, which it did, and the rest, as they say, is history. The EX60, upgraded to EX65 and then to the current EX70 has been catering to self- use as well as the hiring segment for various end use sectors like Irrigation, Urban Construction, Road Construction, Cable laying, stone and gravel quarries amongst others and it continues to dominate this segment in India.

While the EX70 continues to cater to the offer the best value in this segment, Telcon now introduces the TATA HITACHI ZAXIS 75 with high-end features and specifications as a premium variant.

The TATA HITACHI ZAXIS 75 uses technology to reduce costs while delivering higher output. The cutting-edge hydraulics and superior capability of the machine result in 26% more leveling speed and 4% more travel power than comparable models. The new Zaxis 75 is powered by the Isuzu Engine with TIER 2 emission norms which make the machine more environment–friendly. Additional features like the Auto idle ensures Fuel economy and features like the Hydraulic oil change interval of 4000 hrs and filter change interval of 1000 hrs ensures low operating costs.

EX200LC is one of the most popular Excavators in the Indian Construction Equipment market with over 10,000 units in the field working across diverse applications. Telcon has been constantly innovating with customized attachments, fuel saving features and low operating costs. This process of evolution continues with the launch of the EX200LCi at Excon 09. For contemporary aesthetics, a curved counter weight, curved main frame and fiber consoles are being introduced. Sophisticated pilot controls for better grip and smoother operations, strengthened undercarriage and front end attachments, all new paint with new gloss levels, new decals and Hydra mounts for the cabin have also been introduced.

The ALL new EX200LC i continues to evolve with customer needs and will be the best value bet in this class.

Telcon introduced the EX200LCi tunnel excavator at Excon 2009. This is yet another example of Telcons’ commitment to customizing solutions. The machine has been specifically designed to work inside a Tunnel and comes with a short Boom and short swing radius to operate in the confined space. Added to this, the machine comes with features such as Auto Idle for Fuel efficiency, All-New color scheme & styling, ergonomically designed cabin with Fibre Consoles, new Instrument cluster and mounted on Hydra-mounts for Operator comfort, Turbo-pre cleaner for enhancing Engine Life, and many more features. Considering the rocky strata and extreme conditions inside the tunnel, the EX200LCi tunnel excavator is fitted with a Heavy Duty Rock bucket and a Heavy Duty undercarriage

The EX200LCi Tunnel Excavator is yet another example of “Constructive Solutions” from Telcon designed to give the customer a great working experience and enhancing their profitability.

Sree Parijatha

The Excon Fair has been the most successful event as compared to all the previous editions. The quality and profile of the Exhibitors had taken a giant leap forward and it was amazing to see many reputed international companies participating by setting up spacious stalls with multiple products display, revealed Mr. J Ramesh, Managing Director of the company.

Adding he said, this clearly indicates that the potential and volume of the construction business is enormous and promising and can only next to rival China in many aspects. Also, the most important and heartening point noticed in this Excon is that the number of serious and potential visitors was very good which sprang a pleasant surprise to many participations.

Now, we feel that the quality and profile of Indian Construction Exhibitions (especially Excon) can at least match or compared to many international exhibitions across the world.

Parijatha, introduces itself as the leading manufacturer and exporter of Tile and Block making machines in India manufacturing the complete range of machines in their latest manufacturing plants in Bangalore.

On the new Launch made at the show, he said Parijatha introduced their latest range of Automatic Block machine PBM Plus which drew a very good response in the Excon Exhibition. The range of machines is capable of manufacturing very high quality Concrete products (like Interlock paving Blocks, Bricks, Kerb stones and various other products as per customers specific requirements) which can easily match international quality standards. The level of automation and speed is among the best available in the country and was very well received by all the visitors much to the surprise and acknowldgement of all the international companies having similar products. Also, the plant has been specially designed and developed for Indian conditions at a very affordable price which made it the most popular among all the potential customers.

Now, Parijatha will shortly introduce the new concept of Wet press which is capable of manufacturing very high density Concrete products like Kerb stones, Flag stones, Slabs and similar products. This system uses the vacuum de-watering system which ensures very high strength products that is used in very heavy duty applications for the construction industry. This will be the first of its kind in India and will launch the complete plant before the end of March 2010, he said.

Rekers

Sharing his view on the Rekers participation at the just concluded Excon, the Country Head, Mr. Kamaldeep Sandhu revealed that their participation at the trade show proved to be an eye opener as it has now become crystal clear that Excon is one of the biggest and most relevant shows in South East Asia. The company has got good and encouraging enquiries and is really alarmed by the growing size of the market requirement in India. His company will encash the prevailing market conditions and will go all out to build better business contacts in the near future.

He also informed us that Rekers is very serious for Indian market now and this is the reason that our Managing Director, Mr. Norbert Foppe and Commercial Director, Mr. Robert Van Baarsel, himself was available during the Excon show, to understand the Indian market in different perspectives. After talking to every potential clients, during the show, the Rekers management has decided to launch new machine for Indian market. This new machine will be smaller in size and hence the overall Initial investment cost for setting up the Concrete Block plant will be very less. By paying less money, the customer can produce the best quality products on German manufactured machines. In future, we will set up a factory in India to manufacture the concrete block machines, to meet the growing demand of market.

Elaborating on the functioning plans of the company, he explained that Rekers is now a 50 years old German company and is currently manufacturing Concrete Block Machines, Complete handling system for concrete product plants and also for RCC pipe plants. We are planning to increase our manpower as well as infrastructure set up in India very soon. At present, Rekers Concrete Block machine is running successfully at Vyara Tiles, Surat (www.vyaratiles.com). We hope to sell more machines in Year 2010.

Indo Power Crane

The Indo Power Cranes at its stall at Excon received an amazing and unmatched appraisal for its product including 12 & 14 T Indo Power Hydra-Cranes, for their qualities matching world standards. The company also received countless enquiries and overwhelming response both from hirer section and marketing network. It has been a great and memorable experience in participating at the Excon-200, showcasing India’s infrastructure building proves and capabilities, said Manager Marketing Crane Division, Rupinder Kaur Boparai.

She said adding that though the company could not display its crane but the participation has indeed proved a moral booster as the response and new enquiries from potential customers, dealers and appraisal from the competitors exceeded our expectations. The Indo Farm has launched 9, 11, 12, T-2 part for stone mining and 12 T-3- part AV models. Giving details about the product lines of the company, he revealed that Indo Power cranes are on offer in the range of 9 to 14 tons capacity. The cranes have been designed keeping the customer’s specific needs in mind. The Indo Power Pick & Carry Hydraulic Mobile Cranes have unmatched qualities including, a heavy duty main frame which makes the crane very rugged without any chances of bending while lifting heavy loads.

The cranes have been designed with a high ground clearance which makes them suitable for operation in rough terrains without damaging the chassis. The inter-distance between the lift cylinders is more as compared to many other makes of cranes and this gives more stability while lifting loads. They have been equipped with a heavy duty so that when the boom is close to the vertical position, heavy loads can be lifted from nearby crane and this comes very handy while lifting loads from inside a truck or a container with the crane parked next to it thus saving space during the operation of the crane. With 4 falls, the crane can lift loads ranging from 12 to 18 tons and with 6 falls, loads up to 15 tons can be conveniently lifted, she claimed.

In addition, the cranes have straight rear axle which results in low maintenance cost and easy to service. The next feature of Indo Power crane is less turning radius as a result of which it is easily maneuverable and can be operated in narrow and congested areas with ease. Indo Power cranes have been built with both standard and slotted boom versions. The slotted boom version gives flexibility in operation enabling the hooks that lift the load move closest to the desired offloading point without moving the crane. The cranes have the Parking Brakes on the front wheels unlike most other makes with brakes on the rear. This gives the advantage of being able to lift still loads with the brakes applied without affecting the stability of the crane. Besides these, several options have been provided to the customers. One of them is Steering Wheel which gives a better control on the machine as compared to the conventional lever control. Another useful option is of Air Brakes that give better braking effectiveness which is very useful when used in steep or hilly areas.

Giving details about the future plans of the company, she said that Indo Farm has plans for widening its manufacturing in construction equipment, as separate plants for cranes and gensets will start manufacturing from March onwards. These plants will have the manufacturing capacity of 200 cranes per month. Indo Farm is destined to establish itself as a maker of quality product giving maximum output, robust design, easier to use and lowest wear costs, she concluded.

Allison Transmission

At Excon, as part of an ongoing product optimisation initiative, Allison Transmission introduced a 2nd Reverse gear on all Allison 4700 and 4800 models for the 2010 model year. This new feature offers a second ‘deep reverse’ in addition to the standard reverse to provide greater control and engine braking during operation on steep grades. 2nd Reverse will also enable increased manoeuvrability when operating in confined spaces, allowing quicker operation cycles and thereby boosting productivity performance.

“Customers in construction and mining in particular, appreciated the provision of a deeper reverse gear,” says Larry Love, Allison Executive Director of International Marketing. “The shorter ratios of 2nd Reverse will make up and downhill reversing much safer and easier in heavy duty applications, giving drivers additional confidence. This is another reason to specify an Allison fully automatic transmission, complementing features such as adaptive Electronic Control Systems and integral retarder that aim to improve comfort and productivity for drivers and operators.”

When a vehicle is in 2nd Reverse, it will have a slow creep capability with high engine speed. With a mechanical ratio of 17.12, it will have an effective torque converter multiplied ratio up to 32.5:1. The new 2nd Reverse feature provides overall better performance and enhanced applicability for a variety of applications. It will be available mid-year 2010.
