World of Concrete (WOC) 2011 to be held in Las Vegas from 17-21 January, is booking exhibit space at a brisk pace. WOC Management and the US Commercial Service will work closely in the global promotion of the show to bring International buyers and exhibitors together to expand business both domestically and internationally. Pervious Concrete Live: Among the highlights will be the display of 3 demonstration pads. The first pad will be placed too dry to demonstrate raveling, the second pad placed too wet to show sealing, and the third pad placed just right. Students from the Concrete Industry Management program at Middle Tennessee State University will install the slabs and will be on hand to explain the construction of each pad. They will also demonstrate currently approved ASTM methods on both hardened and fresh pervious concrete. This area is the industry’s only live action forum on current pervious concrete technologies. SIMEM MMX Mobile Plant
At WOC, SIMEM will introduce its state-of-the-art super mobile batching plants MMX (stands for Mobile Mixing Excellence).
With over 45 years of experience in design and production of batching and mixing plants, the new SIMEM MMX mobile plant evolves the concept of transportability and is an improvement to the concept of wheels: streamlining the plants overall dimensions to allow transport with generic vehicles, which do not require special permits, the new SIMEM MMX mobile allows easy and economic transport.
The plant does not require any concrete structures. It can be installed on compacted ground which is an important factor to reduce the installation costs and of course also the installation time. Cement silos for installation on precast elements can also be supplied with the plant.
Blastcrete's Skid Steer Pump
With the ability to pump grout materials, 3/8-inch shotcrete and 3/4-inch structural concrete mixes, the RD6536 is a fast, efficient solution for contractors performing a variety of concrete and shotcrete applications. The unit offers a variable speed of 0-25 cubic yards per hour. Vertical pumping distance reaches 50 feet with the use of a rubber delivery line, while horizontal distance can reach up to 250 feet.

All the new Aztec UltraGrind professional propane concrete grinder and polisher eliminate the need for cords and generators. The UltraGrind has been designed for the more aggressive concrete floor grinding and polishing applications, where the goal is to both remove material and highly polish concrete floors. The industry standard for masonry, stone, and block designs were limited to rectangular sheets of formliners that were placed or butted to each other. Great efforts were made to minimize the seams at the edges to prevent concrete leakage or butt joints. In spite of these efforts, the seams still occur across the face of the concrete after stripping the formliner and required many additional hours of labor - sacking, patching, or grinding to hide these unsightly imperfections.
