Heavy lifting equipment Rental Company and turnkey project developers, Allcargo Logistics Limited, a part of the AVASHYA Group, participated in Excon 2011and is planning to create a bigger footprint in industrial projects sector through its combined fleet of equipments facilitating transportation, lifting and erection. The company will proceed to develop industrial infrastructure projects such as Infrastructure, Hydrocarbons, Thermal Power, Cement and steel, wind mill erection among others.
"Our future strategy is to explore business opportunities with EPC contractors involved in executing industrial projects. With our wide asset base of transportation equipment comprising 550 trailer trucks, 250 numbers of Goldhofer specialized transportation equipment for moving over dimensional project cargoes and mobile and crawler cranes with different lifting capacities of 150-250-750 tons; we are well positioned for the successful execution of industrial projects," says Mr. Umesh k Shetty

Mr. Shetty further says, "Our intensified focus is to find business opportunities in bigger size industrial infrastructural projects. To gain share in bigger projects, Allcargo has entered into an alliance with world leaders in heavy lifting solution providers Mammoet of Netherlands. Under the collaboration, Mammoet will provide crawler lattice boom cranes from 1000MT upto 5000MT besides technical support for erection and lift plan. We have jointly undertaken execution of Indian Oil Corporation's refinery project at Paradip (Orissa) for Heavy lifts and are also executing projects for L&T involving critical heavy lifting jobs at OMPL, Mangalore and IOCL Paradip" Allcargo is planning to further add more number of crawler cranes in the capacity range of 250 to 750 m tons in the near future.
"The successful execution of industrial projects without incidents requires complete understanding of the lift applications. In accordance with the same, we undertake a complete survey of the project and its lifting requirements through our highly trained personnel and also by using advanced AutoCAD and solid works design.
Besides, so far we relentlessly focus on customer satisfaction and high standards of quality and commitment to complete the project on the given schedule. To strengthen our equipment fleet, we are planning to add cranes worth Rs.120 Crores which comprises both crawlers and Telescopic.
According to the company, AllCargo has a state of the art "operations, engineering and knowledge centre" at Panvel , which is OSHAS 18001 certified and has qualified as an associate member of LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) UK ,which is a globally recognized industry related association for lifting equipments. In line with expanding business and industry demands, the company regularly hires fresh Graduate Engineers where we motivate and train them to execute the job in safe and systematic manner. The company recognizes the need to invest in trained human resource besides quality equipments.
"Also as a part of future business expansion, we are interested in getting into overseas projects. However, the depreciation of Indian currency slows down and high interest cost which is a matter of concern for us," says Mr. Shetty.
