Industrial hub at Rajpura

Punjab Government – in order to boost industrialization in the State – has decided to set up an industrial hub stretching across 1,200acre area in the Rajpura district. According to State Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia Government has already initiated the land acquisition process. Mr. Kalia divulged that State Government is making certain policy amendments to attract more and more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the proposed industrial hub. Proposed hub will also boast of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) accommodating different industrial clusters. Apart from this, State Government is also spending Rs. 45 crore on creating necessary infrastructure to set up Industrial Focal Points (IFPs). Rs. 16 crore has already been spent on a similar facility in Jalandhar.
