HCC secures road contracts worth $613mn

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) in a recent cache has secured three contracts involving an investment of US$ 613 million (Rs. 28.6 billion). The contracts, which the construction major bagged from the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) include the development of three contiguous sections with a length of about 256 km between Bahrampore in Dalkhola on NH-34 in West Bengal on design-build-finance-operate and transfer (DBFOT) module.
According to an official spokesperson of the company the special purpose companies implementing these projects under the HCC Infrastructure, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, shall be receiving a cumulative capital grant of Rs. 10.33 billion during the construction period. The first contract includes concession period of 25 years together with the construction time of 910 days, whereas the second and third contracts have a concession period of 30 years including the construction period of 910 days respectively.
