Fifth National Conference Wind Engineering – 2009

Department of Wind Engineering, SVNIT & ISWE are organizing “Fifth National Conference Wind Engineering – 2009 (NCWE – 09) on 4th – 6th November, 2009 at Applied Mechanics Department, SVNIT, Surat.

During the last two decades considerable improvements have been made in the field of Wind Engineering by various institutions across the country. To promote further R & D activities, and to share the knowledge among researchers, academicians and practicing engineers, and to meet the challenging requirements in the design and construction of different types of wind-sensitive structures, this conference has been organized.

The conference will provide an excellent platform to present, discuss and deliberate upon the ideas shaped through valued research, amongst involved personalities including individuals, technopreuneurs, research scientists and engineers in the field of wind engineering. Interested candidates contribution is earnestly sought in the form of technical papers to be presented in the conference. The themes of the conference are: Standards and Codal Provisions for Wind Loads, Wind Tunnel Testing, Wind Loads on Buildings, Dynamic Wind Effects on Chimneys and Towers, Wind Loads on Bridges, Wind-Structure Interaction, Wind Induced Interference Effects, Computational Wind Engineering or any other Related Topic on Wind Engineering.
