HSIIDC fixes Rs. 320cr infrastructure funds

The Haryana government owned nodal agency, the Haryana Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has fixed Rs. 320 crore funds to be spent on the development of infrastructure across the state during the current financial year.

The managing director Rajeev Arora in a recent statement said that board of directors of the corporation recently gave its approval to the annual financial statement for the last fiscal and that the directors also approved the acquisition of additional 3,000 acres of land at a tentative expenditure of Rs. 1,250 crore, which includes acquisition of land at IMT Rohtak 1,900 acres, industrial estate Barhi 650 acres, IMT Manakpur 305 acres and industrial estate Karnal 234 acres.

He said adding that the development activities are in full swing for the first phase of IMT Rohtak which is covering an area of over 871 acres and phase-V of Kundli, which is spreading across over 607 acres. Similarly, development activities on an area of 1,732 acres in IMT Faridabad, 548 acres in Bawal phase–III, industrial estate Rai 333 acres are underway whereas the Saha phase-II project near Ambala is likely to be awarded very shortly. Dwelling on the financial health of the corporation he said that it has recorded 38 per cent profit in the just concluded financial year as the gross income of the authority has jumped from 106 in the last fiscal to 147 crore and that it has also recorded a net profit of Rs. 61 crore as against Rs. 44 crore in the last fiscal.
