Mr. Govind Oza
"PARI is the only car parking system providing company in India which is completely indigenous and do not depend for design and software development on any principal company from abroad," says Mr Govind Oza, Director, Precision Automation and Robotics India (PARI).

How long has Precision Automation & Robotics India (PARI) been in the Indian car parking system market? What are the unique strength of your products?

PARI has been in the business of providing automation solutions for over 20 years. We ventured into Car Parking business in 2008. PARI is the only car parking system providing company in India which is completely indigenous and do not depend for design and software development on any principal company from abroad. PARI also has a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility spread over 75 acres with in-house machining plant and paint shop.

Please describe the various types of multi-level car parking systems available in India for our readers. What are the deciding factors for selection of any of these?

PARI provides 7-8 different types of systems like 2 Step Parking, Tower Parking, Puzzle parking, Pit type parking, and others.

For any installation primarily number of cars slots required, space available, cycle time etc. are the most important factors in selection of the right system.

What are the major products of PARI in this segment? What is the scope for customizing design and capacity to cater for various sizes of vehicles on road today? Which of these products are most demandeing?

Currently, we see very good demand of Stack parking system, Puzzle parking system and among the fully automatic systems. Tower system and Chess system are very popular with our clients.

Systems are customized based on the space available and car sizes. Small cars, mid segment cars, luxury sedan and SUV’s can be easily accommodated in our parking systems.

How does automated car parking score for Green construction concerns?

In case of conventional or semi-automatic parking systems cars are driven to the respective parking floors using the ramps and then to the nearest available parking spot. This leads to heavy fuel emission. In case of fully automated systems we have dedicated entry and exit stations. Beyond this point, the parking and retrieving of the car is done automatically by the system. All this time the car engines are switched off, reducing emission significantly.

What is the largest/most innovative project you have executed in India or abroad?

Along with NDMC and DLF, we have executed the world’s largest fully automated parking facility in New Delhi, which is spread over two sites – Sarojini Nagar Market and Baba Kharag Singh Marg. The joint capacity of these two projects is 2432 cars.
